5 Star Garage Door Service checks the whole hardware system, not just the one symptom you called about, before recommending a fix.
Every City View, SC technician dispatched for Garage Door Repair carries the specific tools and parts this job requires, not a generic all-purpose kit.
This specialization is why City View, SC customers call us back for the same issue instead of shopping around each time.
We inspect tracks, rollers, hinges, cables, and spring tension together, since one symptom often traces to a different failing part.
Rollers, hinges, cables, and common hardware ride on the truck, so most City View, SC repairs finish in one visit.
We explain what failed and what it costs before starting.
We background-check technicians before they knock on a City View, SC door.
Worn nylon or steel rollers cause most of the grinding noise homeowners report — we replace and re-torque the full hinge set when one starts failing.
A track bumped by a car or warped by age throws the whole door out of alignment — bent sections get straightened and the door is re-tested through a full cycle.
Frayed lift cables are a safety issue, not a cosmetic one — cable drums that have slipped get reset and re-seated correctly.
A dented panel from a backed-into car doesn't always mean a full replacement — we assess whether a dent is structural or purely cosmetic before recommending a fix.
Cracked bottom seals and worn weatherstripping let in water and pests — a gap under the door is often just worn stripping, not a structural problem.
An unbalanced door strains the opener motor and shortens its lifespan — we disconnect the opener and manually test balance before quoting.

We charge a standard inspection fee that's waived if you approve the repair.
It can also indicate a bent track catching the roller on every pass.
We check panel availability before recommending full replacement.
Non-emergency repairs can also be scheduled for a convenient day.
A technician inspects the door in person before suggesting replacement.
It depends on the cause — a failing cable or spring is a real safety risk, while a dry hinge is just noise.
